Julia Boyd

Julia Boyd is a seasoned partner in the Business Law Department and the Private Equity Group at McDermott, Will & Emery a global law firm. She has over 15 years of experience in advising clients on complex corporate transactions, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, private equity and venture capital investments, and general corporate and commercial matters.

As a private equity lawyer, Ms. Boyd has worked with clients across various industries, such as technology, healthcare, consumer goods, industrials, financial institutions, energy, and infrastructure. She has also leveraged her expertise to support the growth and development of the SWIPE (Senior Women in Private Equity) Network, a network that she founded in 2014 to foster connections between senior female investment professionals. The network now has over 3200 members globally and hosts regular events and webinars. Ms. Boyd is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the private equity industry and empowering women to achieve their career goals.

Julia is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, The Hellenic Lawyers' Association, the Canadian Association of New York, the The Royal Canadian Yacht Club and The North American Foundation for the University of Durham.

Julia is a proud graduate of Durham University, the University of Toronto, Havergal College and Neuchâtel Junior College.

Lane McDonald

Lane is a Managing Director at OMERS Private Equity in New York. She is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she chairs the Institute for the Arts and Humanities Advisory Board.

Priscilla Guevara

For nearly two decades, Priscilla Guevara is a leading voice in Wall Street, spearheading efforts from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to Neuberger Berman and JCAM (Moore Capital). Currently, as Partner at Science, she’s evolved the Los Angeles-based fund from a studio into a multi-asset investment firm. By leading partnerships and communications across the institutional investor network, corporate partners and portfolio, she has bridged the gap between investors and partners in innovation.

Science’s startup studio has built household names including Dollar Shave Club, MeUndies, and Liquid Death. Priscilla was instrumental in Liquid Death’s success in fundraising, as Science is the lead investor. The brand's valuation as of October 2022 is $700 million. Priscilla also leads structuring and capital formation efforts for new investment vehicles, while expanding Science’s barbelled investment platform inclusive of early-stage venture funds, rolling funds, co-invest follow-on as well as late-stage SPVs.

She is the Founder of SWIPE - Senior Women in Private Equity Group featured most recently in Private Equity International highlighting its 2,000+ global membership network making strides across investment opportunities. Members include institutional investors and operators from Blackstone, KKR, and Temasek to name a few. SWIPE also has chapters in Asia-Pacific, South and Central America, EMEA, Canada, and the UK.

She’s also chair of the Development Committee of the James Beard Foundation and has served on the board of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (NYC Chapter). She has also been a speaker for conferences such as Visionary Voices by All Raise, which works to amplify female and non-binary voices at tech events and in the media, as well as SuperReturn International, Private Equity International and LA Tech Week.
